Valemount: the Westgate to Jasper N.P. Valemount is a small town with all amenities for tourists with unlimited possibilities. You will find this town on Yellowhead-Highway 5, close to Mount-Robson-Reg.Park (20 min. by car). Nestled in between 3 Mountain-Ranges ist offers all activities for an extra nice and unforgettable vacation: wild water rafting on Fraser-River, golfing, horse riding and hiking on different trails - from the world’s famous 'Berg-Lake-Trail' around the Mount-Robson to small unknown trails paths for your private adventure and experience. You can find a boat-launch on the Kimbasket-Lake (26 km south-east). There are trails to the West-Ridge-Hut and Mc Kirdy Hut. In August you can see the salmon-tribe in some rivers in the valley. One of the best views are within a 10 min. walk from our home. The Helicopter-Station 'Helimagic' offers helihiking tours in summertime and wintertime; there is a heliskiing adventure 'in the best powder'!  Skiing

Valemount has the possibility for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. There are also snow-cat-tours offered, as well as snowmobiles. The next Down-Hill-Range is Marmot Basin in Jasper.

 Golfing

There are two 9 hole golf courses in town which are 3 and 5 minutes away. There is also another one close to Dunster (30 km west of Highway 16) and one of the best courses located in Alberta at the Jasper-Parl-Lodge (120km, about 1,5 hours) which is worth a look anyway.
